Holy crepe

Ellie and Neil came over for brunch to hang out. Roasted garlic potatos are delicious.

As are the individual sun dried tomato and spinach fritatas.

And grilled banana bread.

And strawberry crepes. (Chantilly cream not pictured.)

But I still had much crepe batter left. So in hopes of getting rich quickly, I've attempted to create the image of the Virgin Mary in crepe form. This one came out all Astroman.

And this one was all Munch's Scream.

And totally way off the mark with Sponge Bob Squarepants.

The closest I got was Santa Claus. That's somewhat Virgin Mary-like. No?

Moldy kraft

Purple beans are included in today's harvest.

And Davy's version of macaroni and cheese with Italian mountain gorgonzola, bechemel, herbs, and the no longer purple beans. Nothing like Kraft Maraconi and Cheeze dinner, but also not 10 cents in cost.

Roman stoned

All the saved bricks and pavers I've discovered while digging in the yard for 5 years are recycled into steps and patios. It reminds me of Pompeii. I'm going to do Pompeii one better by having a carved vagina stepping stone in addition to the carved penis stepping stone. The hard part is deciding which direction they should point.

Rerouted the irrigation pipes to skirt the panda habitat. These will definitely not last as long as those Roman aqueducts.

A portobella-like mushroom has erupted like Vesuvius. All this wood mulch is great haven for the fungi of the world. I wonder if these are magic?

Joshua 3ree

To be more relavant to today's youths, they need to spell it "X-Trem3!"

They have signs pointing to things like "Skull Rock." But there were not signs pointing towards "Ass-crack Rock."

Or "Un-Circumcised Penis and Circumcised Penis Rocks."

Or "Vagina Rock." I think I will write a letter to the National Park Service to point out this oversight.

And no leashes are allowed on dogs.

Oven lovin'

More experimenting with 200 degree oven cuisine. These are the beginnings of a gratin made from purple green beans, thyme, marjoram, and savory from the yard.

And chipotle ribs. This method shows promise, but the spices and marinades could use some tweaking from the originals in the LA Times food section. Not that I followed the recipe all that closely.

Boobs

This cheese is notable because it is boobie shaped. I'm not the only one who thinks so because it's named "Tetilla."

Miss Victoria flagged me down on the road the other day. She sensed a powerful aura from me and wanted to tell me about it. She's only 99% accurate by "The Institute" so I didn't feel the need to pull over in the car to chat. She can find me when she's 100% certified. And since she's a psychic, she'll know where to find me.

Return to earth

Another one bites the dust. I composted it.

Trying out this low temperature 200 degree oven cooking method. It really works. The salmon has gained onion and herb essenses through osmosis. And freakin' easy to make.

Bait

Running low on fish. Time to top off again.

Heifers

Preston loves stinky cows.

Unfortunate Rosie O'Donnell hair.

Chink peas

Asian microgreens with mustard ginger vinaigrette. I have microgreens because I thinned out the vegatble beds.

And mushy pees risotto. Not from mushrooms in my yard. And there is some soy sauce for chinkiness. And bacon. Because bacon makes everything better.

Head space

I woke up with horns this morning. Does somebody have the number of an exhorcist? Or a barber?

Finally getting around to framing up pictures. This one was from Costa Rica.

Divine mycology

Lucky horse shoe get's it's place under the Pope plate. It's there to catch all the goodness raining down from John Paul 2.

I think it's a shiitake mushroom growing in my Japanese garden. How poetic. I would write a haiku about it, but that would reqire more thinking than I'm willing to devote brain cells to at the moment.

Shells and butterflies

Clammy pasta! I love Costco!

Water birds

Water saving drip irrigation installed in the cactus area. Look like octopus.

I hate ivy. Ivy doesn't even merit turning into mulch.

I'm opening up a French cafe in front of my house.

Tree trimmin's. I don't hate tree trimmin's as much as i hate ivy. Tree trimmin's get turned into mulch.

Look! Plants!

Look! More Plants!

Look! No Plants!

I named the flamingos Siegfried and Roy. Because they're all shiny and plasticky. And only boy flamingos are pink. They're not getting along with each other right now, so they're not talking to each other.

Urgent

Suddenly, I have an uncontrollable urge to make a right turn.
