Shredded pulp
The old paper shredder would take 6 years to shred the 9 file boxes full of paper I need to go through. Costco to the rescue! Industrial strength paper shredder. 17 sheets at a time. Shreds CD's, staples, paper clips, and credit cards. Into teeny tiny itty bitty flecks.
Roar! I'm a scary dinosaur.
Isn't this a scary costume? I liked having a tail. It was reassuring. Like someone watching my back at all times.

Buckets of bounty
The shelves that launched this entire home organization endeavor. Sigh. The irony is that the parts are backordered, so I can't even put up a single shelf. Phooey.
This fall's cherimoya harvest. Thankfully only half the fruits are ass shaped this year.
This is all the persimmons I picked this year. The squirrels at the rest. Damn squirrels!
An entire bin devoted to assorted tapes. Yes, they all have a different purpose.
And light bulbs. The dimbulbs are housed somewhere else.
Preston is sad that his room is in shambles.

Unearthing artifacts
The winds blew down a stalk from the giant bird of paradise. It's a good reason to lop off a few of the straggly ones before they kill someone. Any reason to pull out the chainsaw. I love my chainsaw.
Massive upheaval at home lately. My living room has thrown up upon itself. I'm finally unpacking stuff from five years ago. Sigh. So much crap.
I put in a kick ass storage shelf that holds a gazillion pounds. There may be some hope that the guest room may actually be habitable once I get all the crap out of it.
And I started to sort all the nuts and screws and bolts and miscellania into little itty bitty individual compartments. This plays well to my OCD.
And I hung the tv on the wall. I shall have to make a cord scrunchie to cover up the dangling participles.

Colorful discoveries
Costco sells tacky bronzes. I think I need a $4000 pair of dolphins jumping out of the shallow end of my pool.
But I think I'd rather eat all of this instead.
The semantics of grilling pork or beef inside a pig or bull is confusing.
The Rubbermaid aisle at Lowes's. I shouldn't be this excited.
Mmm... simple pasta with fresh maters and basil.
And I used .05 ounces of the 3 lbs of garlic I bought at Costco.

Smooth as
Ooo... I see something yummy.
I think this sandwich bread may be a sucess. The trick is not to follow any of the directions at all. Recipe calls for a cup and a half of water, I put in two. Bake for 50 minutes. Bah! I bake for an hour plus. Knead for 15 minutes, I kneaded for 45.
Looks pretty good. Tastes good. A bit denser than I'd like, but edible.

Miso purty
Come on, Baby. Bring on the concrete!
Buckets would be a lot easier to catch if they were unladen, cleaner, and smaller. Or made of nerf.
Inefficient manual labor. We could have finished an entire day's work in half an hour with a concrete pumper. I wasn't sore like the rest of the group because I have abs of steel.
Hola!

Hell and high water
Pope John Paul II fell off the wall. He must have found out that I'll be building houses in Mexico this weekend with Unitarians.
Loaded up on water for 30 people. The car's ass is sagging from the weight.
Assorted tacos. Delicious. And coca cola made from real cane sugar.
And I managed to find Mexican bowls at the Waldo Mart. Way cheaper and shinier than Chinatown bowls, but with really thin wall thicknesses. I will stick to the Chinatown bowls.

Pot head
I potted 69 plants this afternoon. My poor neglected plants, ignored since I moved into the house 4 years ago. Poor poor plants. Perhaps now my feng shui will improve and life will go smoothly from now on. At least until I forget to water the plants again, which will likely happen next week.
Pope John Paul II souvenir plate from Rome now graces my front entrance. Feng shui, check. Catholicism, check. I still need to work on Buddha and Psychic Friends Network. I'm trying to cover all the bases.
Chaulk board finally hung. Now I can play European restaurant with today's specials sloppily scribbled on the chaulk board.

Herbal ecstacy
A field trip to my favorite plant nursery. I like this place because I get to play with their red wagons while I shop. I get so giddy when I pull the red wagon. The person helping me brought to my attention that all the plants I picked were edible. I guess my food obsessions have expanded to encompass plants. Today's bounty include: Bay leaf tree, root beer plant, Vietnamese rau rum mint, Thai basil, Transylvanian sage, Mexican epazote, pink rosemary. And a mimosa plant that curls up when you touch it. It's interactive.
Rosemary olive bread fluffered up while I was pulling the red wagons. Made with leftover olives.
Half baked. Tastes great, but I can't seem to get the fluffiness to stay put. I've gotten the bread to rise now. Now I just have to work on endurance. Why is baking so hard? I'm baking challenged. Phooey!

Parasites
MK and Flip came over to help clean out the fridge. Conversation inevitably turned to why Davy doesn't weigh 200lbs. The consensus was tapeworm.
We rid the fridge of procuitto and melon.
And pizza.
And pizza.
And pizza. And pizza.

Flour power
Home made banana walnut bread. Yummy.
Clockwise from the top, baby wheat bread, baby fresh pasta, and baby pizza dough.
Hand cut semolina pasta drying out.
And I made a peach crisp while waiting for dough to rise.
Wiggly baby wheat bread.
Adult wheat bread.
And I framed the last of the banana leaf wallpaper. I miss the banana leaf bathroom. So Las Vegas.
Seafood pasta. Cioppino style sauce, with freshly made pasta.
Drunken cookie making.
No guarantees on the quality of these cookies.
So tired from dodging clouds of flour raining down from the kitchen counters.
