Pizza ala leftovers
Large bunch of garlic chives just days away from becoming mush. So recycled into the pizza dough it goes.
Tonight's theme is recycling. Topped with cheese circa "whenever." Tomato sauce made from leftover pork from last night's mapo tofu, red bell peppers from the infamous A-Team dinner, a can of costco diced tomatos, even more of those garlic chives (gotta love Ranch99 Market,) a tub of post thanksgiving turkey stock, old roma tomatos from the pizza stone shattering incident, and a generous helping of undetermined variety of hot chile pepper. An egg in the middle, the last of the dozen carton that comprised the A-Team Flan. (Egg on pizza is yummy in that it gets soft cooked in the time it takes for the pizza to be done.) Turned out pretty good. Unused sauce will go into penne pasta tomorrow night. If I had some "oink" or "moo" leftover in the refridgerator, I'd find a way to throw it in there too.

It isn't easy being green
The sun is just right where it's shining through the green awning, causing my eyes to see green in the mums that were yellow and burgandy only moments ago.

Poultry aftermath
Bubble bubble toil and trouble. The makings of home made turkey stock blorping away for hours.
Turkey tetrazzini. Mmmm..... Based on the chicken tetrazzini recipe I saw on that Italian cooking show with the incredibly hot crumpet host with the cleavage. Mmmmm.... hot crumpet host with cleavage. Crunchy bits on the top made from home made bread crumbs from the bread butt and pita scraps I've been saving in the freezer. Oh, and made with only breast meat in the tetrazzini- in honor of the host with the cleavage.
Vistors of the cousin ilk. I think this is the new record for the number of Chinese people in the house. I've lost count already.

Gobble gobble
Breaking in the new dining table with Thanksgiving. We'll see if asses will stay seated with no cushions. I can't believe I now own cloth dinner napkins. Who is this person?
Multicultural puppies. One of each color.
OMG. The most delicious turkey in the entire world, in the entire history of mankind. Brined overnight with spices and roasted vegatable stock. Air dried for 8 hours in the refrigerator. Convection roasted for amazing turkey skin and succulent moist and flavorful meat. Absolutely the most delicious turkey I've ever had in my life. I'm still salivating.
Apple tarts. Hand sliced with love. Gala apples flanking the center strip of granny smith. Cranberry persimmon sauce, with persimmons from my tree. And turkey pan gravy that had more steps than the turkey itself. I was cursing the recipe the entire time. Until I tasted it, and then I realized it was worth the effort.
Pomegranate ginger cocktails. With pomegranates from my tree. I curse those pomegrantes. It took me three hours to juice those damn pomegranates. POM brand pomegranate juice at the grocery store only $5. Much better deal if you factor in my labor costs. Green beans with lemon and pine nuts. Chris's garlic mashed potatos, sausage stuffing, and candied sweet potatos. Yummy.
Not Pictured: Warm spiced pecans with rum glaze. Pomegranate lime sorbet. Orange sorbet. Spiced hot apple cider.
Mmmm.... triptophan... zzzzzzz....

I pity the fool!
For Linh's housewarming, I cooked an A-Team themed dinner. For real! This may be a first. And mostly likely the last A-Team themed dinner.
Mr. Tea-ni cocktails. Black tea infused vodka martinis.
George Pepper (Peppard) Slaw. Red pepper, jicama, and garlic chive slaw with soy ginger dressing, and a generous handful of toasted sesame seeds.
Howlin' Mad Burdock (Murdock) pilaf. Nanami togerashi spiced carrots and burdock over bonito flavored brown and wild rice.
Open "Face" Tuna Sandwich. Miso glazed grilled tuna steaks on toasted ciabbata with wasabi aioli.
And for dessert:
"I love it when a Flan (Plan) comes together." Lemon anise flavored flan.

Magic carpet bag
Holy crap, where did all this stuff come from? Unpacking all the stuff that have been stored away in various nooks and crannies during the remodel. And the boxes from the office to boot. I guess it's payback for using my old office as a storage room annex to home. It was like Mary Poppins taking out all of her worldly possessions from that magic bag of hers. Never ending stuff spewing forth and needing to be stored in it's rightful place. Holy crap, where did all this stuff come from?

Trial by fire
Replacement heart (hearth.) Courtesy of Amazon.com and gift certificates from charging my Paris hotel bill on my credit card.
Pesto sauced green pizza. No cracks in the pizza stone yet.
Let's try a little something non-traditional and see if it breaks.... Roasted pasilla pepper, crimini mushroom, garlic, and caramelized onion. South of the border!

Earth Shattering
Pizza margherita davy style.
The bacon and eggs version of pizza. Procuitto, eggs, and tomato. Basil chiffonade.
All this experimenting cracked ye olde pizza stone in two. So sad. So very sad. It just couldn't take my extreme cooking.
